Park Sports Wellness

Therapy is but a first step on the road to wellness and healthy lifestyle. Our patients frequently ask therapists to recommend a yoga / Pilates/ exercise classes once they are discharged from our care. After many years practicing in Park Slope we are excited to offer a weekend yoga class and private Pilates sessions in our own facility.

Yoga classes will be taught by Katie Moore. She worked at Park Sports in 2007-2008 as physical therapy aid, completed teacher training courses in India and taught yoga for the past 6 years (read more). Our small yoga classes (6 persons max) guarantee personal attention and therapists will communicate with Katie directly regarding the clients’ particular condition.

Private Pilates sessions will focus on the areas that require strengthening and/or stretching. Particular approach will be based on combined expertise of your therapist and the instructor, not a generic “one fits all” model.

You don’t have to be a patient in our practice to take one of our classes. We recommend that you schedule an evaluation with a therapist who will set up a fitness plan based on your particular needs.
